RESEARCH INTERESTS
The aim of our research program is to elucidate how biomolecular signaling networks control mammalian cell behaviors and guide multicellular organization. This insight is essential to develop design strategies for biomedical applications such as tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Natural systems have evolved sophisticated networks to tune cell behaviors and to coax their self-assembly into functional multicellular structures. We are uncovering the quantitative properties and design features of these molecular circuits in order to develop engineering strategies for tuning multicellular organization.
