RESEARCH INTERESTS
Fundamental fluid mechanics problems at the micro- and nano-scale, with special emphasis on transport issues in MEMS-based sensors for detection of specific biological molecules. BioMEMS research is highly interdisciplinary and involves the development of integrated microfluidic flow channels, and the use of ac electrokinetics to enhance binding reactions near functionalized surfaces.
