Optimizing Microbial Chemical Factories through Biosensors

Transcription factors can be leveraged to enable metabolite-driven control of gene expression.The resulting biosensors can be deployed for purposes that include regulation of biosynthetic pathways in response to specific substrates, and screening of strain variants for increased production.The goal of this project is to develop robust biosensors to enable optimization of microbial chemical factories.
